SOBRO TOWER GARAGE

The SoBro Tower Garage adds 500 parking spaces to the increasingly more populated Lower Broadway entertainment district of downtown Nashville, Tennessee. The garage wraps around the base of SoBro Tower, a 313-unit luxury residential building. To ensure the garage was as visually interesting as the surrounding neighborhood buildings, Structurflex designed, engineered, fabricated, and installed a tensile mesh facade screening. The aluminum-framed, coated PES mesh panels are arranged in a design of alternating angles with custom steel standoffs to provide a sense of depth and a recognizable landmark from a distance. The tensile facade also reduces solar gain, maintains ventilation for an open garage, and screens light pollution from cars inside the garage.
